Thickness measurement and detection of concealed defects

Using ultrasonic measuring equipment we determine the material thickness of hull and components in metal precisely – quickly, without damage and reliably. These measurements give a clear view of the true condition of steel and aluminium structures and reveal corrosion or loss of wall thickness at an early stage.

The result is a report you can follow and rely on, professionally documented, setting out the condition of your vessel transparently and precisely. For steel hulls more than 20 years old, insurers usually require it.

On structures in fibre-reinforced composites, comparable techniques can detect internal faults such as delamination or inclusions. For this work we cooperate with specialist providers in non-destructive testing (NDT).
